Being Grateful amidst of Pandemic

2020 is the most challenging yet a remarkable year for me. Some people take the 2020 as a sad reality because of the global pandemic that we are facing in that year and also today. In 16 of March 2020 is the start of my struggles, since I was lock down in Dasmariñas, Cavite together with my aunt and grandmother, far from my father and mother was in our house in General, Trias, Cavite.

I was sad because every friday after my class here in New Era Senior High School, Dasmariñas Cavite I go to my home to bond with them. Its difficult for me to adjust since it practically my routine after the five long day of school. Some might question me; why I need to be separate in house together with my aunt and grandmother? Because my grandmother needs to be guided by me by walking and eating everyday; in short a helper . To not be sad because she has what we called “apo”. I’m not sad at all doing my part in the house of my aunt, I realize that there is a difference between your original home to others. I honestly spoiled by my mom and I miss the way I called “tamad” because I always wake up late in the morning everytime there is an holiday or no classes. But in this house we need to work out everyday that is called “pakikisama”.

On June of 2020 when the lock down moderately implemented I was able to travel again and hug my mom and dad. I can now do all what ever I do in house. I honestly “tamad na naman”, but suddenly that happiness is taken. A sad message coming from my aunt that my grandmother is in the hospital. My mom go to the hospital and she did not in our home, around 1 month. After my grandmother recover my mom talk to me to go again in Dasmariñas, Cavite and take care my grandmother.

The lesson with it is to sacrifice yourself to others because we don’t know when and where he or she is leaving in Earth; your love once . And from now on, I realize that love and faith to God is enough to survive during this time of pandemic. I may not see physically my parents but the most important is to value them in your heart. I was not a perfect son and ‘apo but all I can say is this is the best of me. I was able to overcome all. And new door opens for me as I able to showcase my talent by vlogging myself and share to them my smile and lughter and to bring such happiness and spread positivity to everyone. I honestly not as popular as many Filipino youtubers but I was happy because I was able to pursue this to share it to all my friends and classmates is enough to say that this such a greatful blessing for me.
